The Only Way Into God’s Family

Problem: By gathering Gentiles into the wrong family in the wrong way.

1. New Family: The Father is using his Son to gather all nations into a new kind of family.
2. New People: Gentiles don't have to join God's old covenant family to get in the new one.
3. New Problem: Some people will be very upset about this new family God is creating.

The Claim: The Gospel that pleases God often displeases many people.

1. The Father does not need our permission to create this new kind of family.
2. There is no person on earth who deserves to be a part of this family.
3. The Father is redeeming all of us into his family by the grace of His Son.

The Only Gospel that Pleases God

1. God only has one true gospel.

What is death?

• Death is the penalty for sin.
• Death is a natural consequence of separation from God.
• Death is the inevitable fate of all people.

Who is Christ?

• He is sinless.
• He is the Spirit-filled God-man.
• He chose to die anyway.

The Claim: Jesus is the source of life itself.

1. Do you really believe that Jesus is the source of your life?
2. Will rely on him to defeat the power of death for you?

A Loving God Who Knows the Details
